Abstract

In accordance with Article 43 of Regulation (EC) 396/2005, EFSA received a request from the European Commission to provide support for the preparation of the EU position for 48th session of the Codex Committee on Pesticide Residues (CCPR). In 2015, JMPR evaluated 12 active substances regarding the setting of toxicological reference values to be used in consumer risk assessment (abamectin, acetochlor, cyazofamid, ethephon, flonicamid, fluazifop-p-butyl, flumioxazin, flupyradifurone, lindane, lufenuron, penconazole, quinclorac) and 27 active substance regarding the setting of Maximum Residue Limits (MRLs) (abamectin, acetamiprid, acetochlor, bifenthrin, chlorothalonil, cyantraniliprole, cyazofamid, cyprodinil, difenoconazole, ethephon, flonicamid, fluazifop-p-butyl, flumioxazin, fluopyram, flutriafol, fluxapyroxad, imazapic, imazapyr, imidacloprid, lambda-cyhalothrin, lindane, lufenuron, pyrimethanil, quinclorac, spirotetramat, tebuconazole, trifloxystrobin); additionally, EFSA prepared comments on the specific concerns raised by the EU in the previous CCPR meetings. The relevant findings that should serve as the basis for deriving the EU position for the CCPR meeting are summarised in this report.
