Activities on the Article 36 List and participation of Article 36 organisations in EFSA’s grant and procurement schemes
Since the establishment of the Article 36 List in 2006, EFSA and Member States have made substantial efforts to keep it up-to-date and functional. The Article 36 List needs to remain fit for purpose, which includes having the relevant organisations on the List to support EFSA, to be used to foster networking. A coordinated review of the List was initiated towards the end of 2012. Member States have encouraged and supported organisations in their countries to update the information in their profiles on the Article 36 Database. The Article 36 Database plays a pivotal role in administering and updating the Article 36 List, facilitating considerably EFSA's and the Member States' access to necessary information. Organisations on the Article 36 List can work together in EFSA's scientific projects by participating in grants or procurement activities. This report looks at the participation of the Article 36 organisations per country in grant and procurement calls over the past five years (2009-2013).
