EFSA's 17th Scientific Colloquium on low dose response in toxicology and risk assessment
On 14-15 June 2012, the European Food Safety Authority held its 17th Scientific Colloquium, on “Low Dose Response in Toxicology and Risk Assessment”.
The objective of the Colloquium was to bring together international experts from different sectors for a scientific debate on the current state of the art in low dose-response in toxicology and to identify ways of further enhancing the process of food and feed risk assessment in the European Union (EU). Over two days, 100 scientific experts exchanged views and debated the possible health effects of low levels of certain chemicals and the current and future challenges these pose for risk assessment.
