We can never be completely certain about the future, either in science, or in everyday life. Even when there is strong evidence that something will happen, there will almost always be some uncertainty about the outcome. But by taking account of this uncertainty, often we can make better, more transparent decisions.
Can you help us? We are running a survey to help us improve how EFSA communicates and explains the scientific uncertainties related to its assessments. The survey is being jointly run with our partners in eight EU Member States: Cyprus, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Romania, Spain and the UK.
The survey should take about 10 minutes, and you can give us additional advice on this topic if you want to.
