EFSA has fine-tuned its guidelines for Observers for open plenary meetings, including the section that concerns reporting of discussions.
Observers, including the media, are now free to attribute comments to participants. Reference to participants should, however, still respect their reputation and professional integrity. This is a further step in EFSA's commitment to more openness and transparency.
EFSA’s Panel on Animal Health and Welfare will be the first to open its plenary to observers in 2016. The meeting will take place on 9-10 March in Brussels and registration is open until 16 February 2016.
