The Executive Director of the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA), Catherine Geslain-Lanéelle, today met Mario Capanna, president of the Genetic Rights Foundation, Ivan Verga, general secretary of the Genetic Rights Foundation and Brunella Pinto of the Coalizione Italia-Europa “Liberi da OGM” for a brief discussion on GMOs.

EFSA is committed to upholding the highest scientific standards in the field of GMO risk assessment.

EFSA commends and supports the work of its scientists and their determination to deliver the best scientific opinions on GMOs underpinned by state-of-the-art risk assessment approaches, drawing on European and international practice.
