The 24th meeting of the Advisory Forum

The Advisory Forum meets in The Hague on 6 and 7 December. In occasion of the last meeting of 2007 the Forum will review the implementation of the scientific cooperation projects (ESCOs) and discuss its possible involvement in new ESCOs proposed by the Steering Group on Cooperation. The meeting will also provide the occasion for signing the agreements establishing national Focal Points in numerous Member States. The agenda includes among its items:
  • The proposal to revise the rules governing the functioning and operation of the Advisory Forum
  • Feedback from the Advisory Forum Working Groups on Communications and Information Technology and the Scientific Committee
  • Feedback on the special Advisory Forum meeting on GMO Risk Assessment in Europe and on the EFSA Scientific Forum and Summit
  • An update on the status of the scientific cooperation activities including those carried out in the framework of Art. 36 of EFSA’s founding Regulation, with a glance to the calls planned in 2008
  • A briefing on the EFSA new policy, format and guidelines for the Declaration of Interest
  • The presentation of the report on the NDA Panel’s tasks on Population Reference Intake
  • An update and exchange of views on matters raised by the Member States and EFSA
