The role of science in food policy

The Belgian Presidency of the European Union is organising an international round-table entitled The Role of Science in Food Policy on 20 October 2010 in Brussels. The meeting will be opened by the President of the Council of Agriculture Ministers of the European Union, Mrs. Sabine Laruelle, and will be followed by a round-table discussion on the role of science in food safety policy. EFSA’s Executive Director, Catherine Geslain-Lanéelle, will address the forum on EFSA's role in providing a scientific basis for European food safety policy.
