Call for scientific data on saponins from Madhuca sp., gossypol, ricin and theobromine in feed

Deadline
30 November 2007
EFSA is currently drafting risk assessments on saponins from Madhuca sp., gossypol, ricin and theobromine as undesirable substances in animal feed.

Gossypol, ricin and theobromine have been included in an earlier call for data (EFSA/CONTAM/273), but only very few data were received.

Member States and stakeholders have the opportunity to facilitate the risk assessments by submitting occurrence data in feed on the above listed substances to EFSA.

The data should comprise: feed commodity (as specific as possible), substance, limit of detection, method of analyses, if the results are expressed as 88 % dry matter, and all negative samples should be included.
