Steering Group on Cooperation
The Steering Group on Cooperation acts as the interface between the Advisory Forum and the Scientific Committee in providing strategic oversight on, and steering the implementation of, the strategy on scientific cooperation and networking. The Steering Group on Cooperation primarily aims to:
- articulate a coherent work programme for taking forward the strategy, in particular with respect to achieving European risk assessment approaches;
- review terms of reference, proposed participation, project lead, and timescales of projects to ensure consistency with the strategy, including the involvement of a representative group of Member States;
- monitor progress towards achieving the objectives on cooperation and networking and recommend any changes needed to keep to the agreed timescales set out in the strategy;
- provide feedback to the Advisory Forum / Scientific Committee at their regular meetings; and
- advise the Authority, through the Advisory Forum and the Scientific Committee, on what EFSA could focus on over the next five years.
