Abstract

This report summarises the “current” statistical programming methods and practices at EFSA, which were obtained by reviewing scientific outputs and associated statistical R and SAS programs and interviewing selected EFSA staff. The assessment was based on quality and general criteria of good programming practice.

The analysis was performed in order to develop standardised programming practices and provides associated materials both for R and SAS software packages. The findings of this report cannot be generalised to describe the situation at EFSA as a whole. It is a qualitative approach and hence only provides a snapshot of the current situation.
