EFSA/FDA agreement to facilitate scientific co-operation - Brussels, 2 July 2007

On 2 July, the first formal step to enhance co-operation between the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and EFSA will be taken.

Andrew C. von Eschenbach, Commissioner of the US FDA and Catherine Geslain-Lanéelle, EFSA's Executive Director, will meet to discuss about current and future co-operation between the two agencies and to sign an agreement which will facilitate the sharing of scientific information.

The meeting, between the representatives of EFSA and FDA, will take place from 16.00 until 16.45 pm in Brussels, Renaissance Hotel, Rue de Parnasse, 19. His Excellency, Mr. C. Boyden Gray, Ambassador of the United States of America to the EU will be present at the meeting.
